on thursday, moo-moo and poppa hosted a get-together... and we graciously took that opportunity to feast feast feast :-) poppa made his for real famous salmon- even though he had to improvise with the grill situation ;-)

on friday, moo-moo and poppa took us to a fantabulous seafood restaurant. the boy was certainly eyeing up the hushpuppies :-) we also went shopping and poppa bought rhys a terrific iron chameleon to hang in his playroom, along with his first set of chopsticks :-) we went to clemmons country store to buy my very favorite homemade no sugar added jelly. yum! later in the evening, we went to see uncle tink play softball. his team won!!! yayyy! congrats, uncle ryan ;-)

earlier in the day, aunt cassie and aunt miriah went to ihop, where aunt miriah was given the once over by the waitress. i guess the waitress informed miriah that she recognized her from the mug shot that the police were circulating of the girl gang members who identified themselves by wearing abercrombie t-shirts. so the waitress called the police, miriah was handcuffed and then hauled off to the slammer. as miriah was escorted out of the ihop, she exclaimed that the 'pancakes weren't all that great anyway!' ok, she really wasn't handcuffed and sent to jail, but the waitress did tell her that she looked like one of the abercrombie lady gang members.saturday morning, c, rhys and i got up and went to visit ggq, great-grandpa-q, aunt jenny and cousin katie. after a very nice time, we went shopping for a bit and then back to the quiggle abode. aunt cassie, uncle tink, aunt jess, aunt miriah and david were already there, so we hurried up and got ready, then went to ronni's- a no-nonsense, yet very delicious pizza joint. once again, the boy was eyeing up the chicken wings ;-) in the evening, there was guitar hero and rhys' very first bonfire- complete with s'mores and hotdogs.

the drive home was pretty uneventful. the kid once again slept for the first 5.5 hours, fed, then slept until we got to the tanger outlets just outside of pittsburgh. we shopped, he ate again and then pretty much slept the rest of the way home.
the weather in nc was hot, but not uncomfortably so. it was a fun time, but there is no place like home :-)

What a lucky little boy to have such a loving extended family! Love the photos of the sapling! Some are soooo cute! I just want to bite his pudge!
