hangin' out in the 'burgh!

initially our plan was to go to cleveland today, but we ended up in pittsburgh instead. c wanted to go to ikea, trader joe's, the pittsburgh zoo and the outlets. lol, once upon a time we could have hit them all in one day, but unfortunately the zoo was not in the cards today.

ikea was great. well, except the light fixture that i found online was nowhere to be found in the store, even though it said there were 90 in stock. things that make you go hmmm. we almost bought a different one, but ended up not doing so, because although we liked it, we didn't love it. so, we walked out with art for the playroom, smock bibs, a recycling container, circle rugs for the nursery and a few other gizmos.

we for real did some damage at trader joe's. i won't go into details, but c is thrilled with her 2 cases of diet hansen's and i'm pretty excited to try the edamame hummus ;-)

after trader joe's, we had to make a decision. c has been really wanting some sandwich that she used to get at the deli in state college- the nastiness of fried egg and meat and french fries and coleslaw. well, she tried $teel city, but it just wasn't the same... so she has been wanting to visit priman+i brothers, and today could have been her day... BUT we would not have made the outlets. she chose the outlets. so we found dinner inside the glorious trader joe's, and all was right in our world :-)
