guess what today is? yes, sweet boy, it's your 11 week birthday! and we celebrated by going to the dr. this past week has been full of baby tylenol and lots of spitting up, so to be safe, we made you a dr's appt. she said that you were perfect (we already knew that). she wants us to keep an eye on your darling little self and call her every night with a report. the good dr. thinks that mayhaps you just had a touch of a stomach bug. let's hope that it has run it's course! (you have gained about 5 ounces, so at least you haven't lost any weight... and that puts you at just an ounce under 15 pounds :-) )
we have had an amazing week with you! we celebrated our first mother's day (you are an amazing pancake chef, buddy!) you seemed to really enjoy the beach and you love love love being sung to! this week you spent alot of time kitty-catnapping. we chalk that up to your vaccinations that you received on your 10 week birthday (i'm still so sorry about that!)
everywhere that you go, you spread joy and happiness. today, a kind older gentleman in the waiting room was enthralled with you. he could not believe that you were 11 weeks... he remarked that you certainly must love to eat (how right he was!). an older woman just kept staring at you and smiling. i believe she got a little misty just watching you... and i understand; i get that way when i watch you, too. i guess that's what happens when you love someone so much that it just can't be contained. when we went through the checkout at wegman's, the cashier oogled you and insisted that you were at least four months old.
tomorrow we are going to embark on our first long road trip. we are going to north carolina to visit with moo-moo and papa and aunt cassie and uncle ryan and ggq and the rest of the quiggle klan... they can't wait to see you :-) mommy c and i just know that you are going to handle the road trip like a trooper!
lately you have been doing this funny little bottom-lip-sucking thing. you. are. adorable.
