impending trouble

oh man. we are so going to be in trouble. and by we i mean me. and pieces. but mostly me ;-) i didn't plan for dinner tonight. i mean, i was just gonna throw together a salad and toss something on the grill. except for what i was going to grill was veggie burgers... which are a no-no for nursing c. baby + beans = hurty belly.

c picked us up after work, and we went to look for a new lawnmower. on our way home, i had the brilliant idea to stop at the co-op and grab something for dinner from the fresh horizons cafe (yummy!). we both ordered the california melt. c had the sense to omit the onions (the boy doesn't tolerate onions well, either). however, what we forgot about was the spinach pesto (yes, yes, spinach is on the 'make-the-kid-scream-from-gas' list, as well). and they slathered it on. uh-oh. and if that weren't enough, i, in all of my infinite wisdom, made a salad anyway, and served everything with hummus. hummus = beans. beans = hurty tummy. and to take us back to the top, we were trying to avoid the beans in the veggie burgers. wonderful.

it was all delish, though. and one day, the boy will love all of the bountiful veggies that his mommies serve him :-)
