terrific thursday :-)

today was my first day without students... my morning was filled with report cards and cleaning and cumulative files... but i was done by 11:30. as i was sauntering down the hall, my principal asked if i had brought rhys to school (she requested that i do so lastnight at the carnival, but i thought that she was just being kind). i had told her that i had not, and she mentioned that i could run home at lunchtime and get him... so that i did! he is so amazingly good at school... and today he was quite a flirt; and there was an abundance of gals flirting right back ;-) he even got a few smooches from my gal pal, kristen's sweet girl, kaitlyn.

when c got home from work, we got the boy ready and headed to meadville. we were supposed to pick up a set of waterfall steps for the pool and watch the first evening of the hot air balloons fill the sky, but the steps wouldn't fit in the mazda and it was raining- so no hot air balloons. soooo, we saw a little farmer's market and went and bought some delicious corn-on-the-cob, eggplant, pineapple, tomatoes and mangoes. then c noticed some burger joint that she saw on 'diner's, drive-in's and dives', or something like that... so off to the 'five guys burgers and fries' went we. i don't eat red meat, but i took one for the team there.

and if dinner wasn't gluttonous enough, we topped it off with hank's custard. i must admit- it was pretty delish. even the boy wanted to dig in!

tomorrow is my last day of school and then summer vacation will be mine to enjoy! our principal is taking us all out to lunch to 'ceviche on the bay', so the day should go by rather quickly... yayyy!!!
