father's day!!!
we visited the very special men in our lives, uncle john and grandpa!!! first we went to visit grandpa, and he read rhys a story :-) then we went to visit uncle john and aunt jen, who grilled us some yummilicious shrimp and twice-baked potatoes. thank you!!!
strawberry festival!!!
while searching for local farmer's markets, we stumbled upon burch farms and discovered that they were having a strawberry festival this weekend... soooo, we went. they had numerous strawberry delicacies. we sampled the local berries, strawberry bread, cider and wine... and we feasted upon berries and cream and strawberry shortcake. we had quite a lovely time :-)
summer solstice!!!
we had planned on having a chiminea bonfire and making s'mores to celebrate this very special day, but the boy had other plans. instead of his normal 8:30 bedtime, sleep was beckoning him at 7:30... soooo, instead we celebrated the sun via his bedtime outfit :-)
