whirlwind of a weekend!

what a fun and busy weekend it has been! we kicked it off by going to 'discover presque isle' on friday. we loved perusing the vendors and sampling a few treats. the cookie guy, who is at every local event, had a new delicacy- a heath bar cookie/brownie type thing. can you say, "yum"? c and i both dubbed it our new absolute favorite- her former fav was the chocolate chip and mine was the carrot cake cookie. it was so good, we bought another one to split on our way back to the car :-) also new this year (well, at least we can't remember seeing them there before) was coco bongos, a juice bar that served it's lusciousness in a coconut holder. fun! then we met up with uncle tink and aunt jess, who were visiting from nc, for dinner. it was nice catching up :-)

on saturday, we went to a former colleague's wedding. actually, c went to the wedding, while i went to the pride rally with the boy... and later we both went to the reception, while aunt jen kept an eye on the boy (thank you sooo much!!! the boy absolutely loves you- and so do we!!!). we didn't stay too long because we really only knew our table of people and they left after the cake, so we pretty much followed suit... c did, however, do the electric slide :-)

today, c's family came over and attempted to swim, but mother nature had other plans to make people wet. later on, we went to my cousin's son's eleventh birthday party. afterwards, i went to the casino for a spell, then came home to finally relax for a bit.

a rainbow greeted me as i walked into the casino

on a side note, guess who has an itty bitty tooth popping through? no, not one of the dogs. no, not c, silly goose! yes! it's mr. piece! he has been a bit cranky today and he has been doing this crazy tongue thing for the past few days... also there is the drooling and everything going into his mouth (but this has been happening for the past few months)... so c felt along his gums, and sure enough, there is a sharp little tooth on his bottom right side of his gums! go piece!!! so we popped a teething tablet under his tongue and he seemed to cheer up a bit :-) i can't believe how fast our little sapling is growing!!!
