saving grace

it has been a crazy stressful week! at this very moment, we should be settling into our new house. at this very moment, rhys should finally have his nursery set up, or at least almost set up. it seems as though the 'hiccup' in our buyer's financing is because our house that we are selling is zoned r-2. they cannot find any comps like ours, so their lender pulled out the day before closing. tomorrow the zoning officer comes to see what we can do to make it r-1. sweet mother of pearl. it looks like if we want the house that we love, we are going to have to carry two mortgages for a brief time, until either the zoning is changed or our buyers come up with 10% down. either way, the owner of the house that we are buying wants the transaction done by next week, so, unless there is a miracle today, we will be doing the whole 2-mortgage song and dance. delicious.
