almost there

tonight c and i finally started oak boy's nursery and playroom. we got all of the furniture put together and in place; now we just have to hang the artwork. i must marinade on where exactly to hang things. i want to hang some stuff over his crib, but i know better... i know that as soon as he is able to stand up, he will be able to reach up and he will probably enjoy grabbing things. so yeah, not a grand idea.

tomorrow we are taking the boy to the cleveland zoo. geez, the thought it takes to get a baby ready to go on a little trip. pack diaper bag. check it twice. check it thrice- just for good measure. pick out at least three outfits that match his bucket hat, because one never knows what the mighty oak shall do to his clothes. check. make sure that we have enough diapers. check. sunscreen. check. camera charged. almost check. pack the car. i don't even want to think about this one (stroller, wrap, cooler- check!). even though we know that this trip is more for us, we are excited to be taking him, and we know that he will love being outside.
