timing is everything

i can't believe that it's friday already. this week has been a blur. and it's only gonna get nuttier from here. on monday, a family looked at our house. same family looked again on tuesday. our realtor called and said they were getting their financing in order and that he would not be surprised if they made an offer this week. well, at lunchtime on wednesday, our realtor called with a few questions because the family needed information for their financing about our garage. they were supposed to write up an offer on wednesday, but they could not decide if they were going to go fha or conventional, so they were going to wait until thursday. delicious.

soooo, wednesday evening, we were relaxing, when my cell rang. it was our realtor telling us they had made an offer. so we said we would meet him at the office, but he insisted on coming here (he knows c is about to pop any day now). he presented their offer. we countered. they accepted, and we arrived to see this in our yard today.

delicious. well, except for the fact that we are now homeless. i guess because of the economy and interest rates, the banks are swamped with re-fi's, so we thought we had a good two months before closing. well, turns out that they had some pull with someone, and the closing is set for march 26th. ouch. realtor friend called today and said that our financing had no glitches and if we found something now, we could have a closing that corresponds with the closing of this house. great. except there aren't any prospective houses right now. but we are optimistic that, with the break in the weather (kind of), more properties will become available for sale. soooo, we will be relocating to c's dad's house in a month until our dream home sweet home becomes available :-)

i was taking this whole homeless thing pretty hard, but we knew that we wanted to move out of the ville for awhile. we knew that we wanted to live in fairview or millcreek. we knew that bamboozle was coming soon. and c so eloquently talked me down from my tree today by texting, "we will be a beautiful family no matter where we are. we are about to start an amazing journey. the start isn't how we dreamed but i think it is a stepping stone into getting our dream." i love her. and she is so right. everything happens for a reason, and we will find our perfect home sweet home :-)
