paranoia will destroy ya!

okay, okay. i get the whole "everything happens for a reason" thing, but man, are we walking on egg shells. i mean, i am actually awake and walking around before 8 a.m. on a day off from school. i haven't slept well at all since our counteroffer was accepted. lastnight i didn't sleep at all because we know that we found our new home sweet home, and we are going to formally bid on it today. we know that he will accept our price offer (it's a for sale by owner). we just don't know how the home inspection on our current house will go today. it's an 80 year old house, so we know that something is bound to creep up, but will it make our buyers pull out? we also know that their backs are against the wall (they already sold their house and need a new house asap). let me tell ya, worrying does not do a body good! insomnia, frequent (urgent) potty breaks (yeah, sorry about the tmi), breaking out, waves of nausea, crankiness, etc. yeah, we are experiencing them all. now maybe all of this is happening to prepare us for the sleepless nights that may come with bamboozle's birth (oh yeah, did i mention that he is due a week from today?!?!)

yesterday we took c's dad through the house to get his "approval." ha, he did not have a single negative to say about the house. well, except for the lack of closet space. i actually think that he enjoyed our pick this time around :-) as we were waiting for him to get there, a family drove up and took a flyer about the house. c started wigging out as she began chanting, "thisisourhousegoawaythisisourhousedon'tyouknowthatthisisourhouse." yeah, it all ran together. soooo, our getting this house directly correlates with the completion of the sale of our house which directly correlates with the home inspection today. now, we bought the home warranty, so any major electrical, plumbing, etc. stuff will be covered. we know the roof is good. the windows are only single pane, but they knew that from the start. our basement has a corner of dampness, but i think that rerouting the gutters will clear that up. and a smidge of dry loc can do wonders :-) i can't think of anything else that might show up. soooo, i am going to stay positive and know that what is to be shall be...

  1. I would tell ya not to wig out, but I know it won't help (once again, been there, done that!). Sending happy positive thoughts your way. Best of luck.
P.S. Yes we are NW (frontier/harding area), but oh so close to the Penisula, easy to meet up!
