as much as i adore our brood, it was so nice to be able to snuggle in with my love, hold hands, sing to each other and just be. however, i was also very happy when we got back to the hotel and peeked in on each of our babies...
we had planned on going to the zoo after breakfast, but we were so exhausted by our first entire family restaurant outing, that we opted to just drive back home. we had hoped that the girlies would stay sleeping during breakfast, but no such luck. they were, however, pretty low key- as long as they had pannycake pieces in front of them ;-)

friend juwie, aka, "the baby whisperer" i think that the remainder of november will be date-free... but then comes december!!! and oh what a gloriously busy month that shall be!!! the girls will be turning ONE (!!!), c's birthday, jim brickman with my love, the grinch with rhys, the festival of the trees, etc. i. am. so. excited!!!
on a more today-ish note, a year ago today we were given the grim news that the doctor was hoping that we would make it to viability with the girls. that word still makes me throw up a little in my mouth. anywho, they are here and they are healthy. and, tonight, they will spend their first night in their cribs in their own room. they have been sleeping in our room in pack and plays since they came home from the nicu in march. of course, we have the angelcare monitors all hooked up! our sweet girls are growing up <3
