the apple doesn't fall too far...

christine and i met and started dating in july 2005. our first christmas together was spent renovating the house that we had just bought... and we are talking a total renovation here! anywho, i had bought her a ladder shelf for christmas and there was really no place to hide it, so i propped the box up behind one of the curtains. i had forbid her to snoop... BUT she did not heed my warning, thus discovering her gift.

on other occasions, she has been known to want to clean out my closet around holidays and wanting to straighten my drawers weeks before a celebration. she. is. a. snoop. so much so that my brother has lovingly dubbed her, "snoop nose." just yesterday, she was "putting the double stroller in my car", and, while doing so, let her eyes wander where they should not wander, and, in the process, discovered a gift that was meant for her. it's now going back. that'll show her ;-) a few weeks ago, knowing that i was online shopping like a madwoman, decided to look at ONE box that had been delivered. that ONE box just happened to have a certain purse insignia emblazoned on it. she is very excited. i should also send that back!

i am finding that this sneaky trait has been passed onto our sweet boy. the other day, rhys was put down for his nap. it was very quiet up there, so we assumed that he was asleep... until a few hours later, when c went up to get him and found him going through the christmas gifts that santa had already brought! the boy is a snoop nose jr!

now, my only saving grace is going to be to protect the girls from this life of crime... sweet mother of pearl do i have my work cut out for me!
