milestones.

when your babies are born 15 weeks early, weighing merely as much as 5 sticks of butter, there is A LOT that can go wrong... and you pray and hope and wish that A LOT will just go right. i mean, after all, they are already micropreemies, they deserve a break.

today the girls had their early intervention assessment. and, 'surprisingly', they have hit all of their goals. all. of. them. they are feeding well, rolling all over the place, using their pincer grasp, sitting up unassisted for long periods of time, catching/balancing themselves while sitting and crawling. our girls are no joke.

i don't think that i could be prouder of them if i tried. and i am also very grateful for everyone who has worked, and contimues to work, to help them blossom. their ot is aaammmaaazzziiinnnggg!!! she listens and offers suggestions and is just a good egg. their daycare teachers should be sainted. when their ot works with the girls at daycare, their teachers are interested and thoughtful and really want to 'get it right.' gosh we love them!

it hasn't been easy... but with every milestone that our girls conquer, we are reminded how oh-so-very-lucky we are.
