big boy bedroom!

once upon a time, chicken was an only child. because of this, he was entitled to the (second) biggest bedroom on the second floor. it was even equipped with a huge closet with a way cool built in fort.

when the news of chicken's twin siblings arriving hit the streets, chicken wasn't prepared for what was to become. this past weekend, chicken's mama s. was barely seen because she was upstairs fiddling around in his playroom (because only chickens have playrooms when there are 2 extra bedrooms in chickenland). the decision was made that, since chicken's bedroom was the bigger of the two children's rooms, chicken should be moved to the quainter (smaller) of the rooms so that the twins could be accommodated better in the bigger room. today was the grand unveiling of what used to be chicken's playroom, but is now chicken's big boy bedroom...

we still have to hang up curtains after we find them (we are thinking red ones) and artwork. we also still have to put up his bedrails. of course, he will be staying in his crib in his current room until he decides that he's too cool for a crib and tries to catapult himself out of it (knock on wood that this never happens!)
