since the little ladies were born, our lives have mirrored the movie 'groundhog day.' you know, every single day is exactly the same... and we. are. tired. but we keep on keeping on; thanks to the generosity and help from fantabulous friends and family.
our weekdays go something like this:
6:30 a.m.: get up, showered and dressed, head to work
7:30 a.m.: 3:00 p.m.: work (call nicu @8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to check on the girls)
3:30 p.m.: arrive at the hospital
5:10 p.m.: go pick up the chicken from school
5:30-8:00 p.m.: make dinner, eat, clean up dinner, play with chicken, bath, tuck chicken into bed
8:25 p.m.: arrive back at hospital (sometimes we are together, sometimes separate)
10:00 p.m.: one of us comes home (or both if we have a sitter)... if no sitter, then:
10:20 p.m.: other mommy arrives at hospital
11:15 p.m.: other mommy gets home from hospital
11:20 p.m.- 12:00 a.m.: throw a load of laundry in, empty/reload dishwasher, let dogs out, go to bed.
repeat.
weekends are basically the same, but instead of working, c takes chicken on a breakfast playdate on saturday mornings, and we go to the hospital three times per day. also, somehow we squeeze in grocery shopping on one of the weekend days (usually friday- to get it over with.)
have i mentioned that we. are. tired?
i know that once our girlies are home, we will still be exhausted, but, at least we will all be under one roof in our jammies :-)
wow... the pics are awesome of the girls, they are getting so big... Shawn
