yay!!! december is here! i love the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, and i think that we are going to expose chicken to various cultural celebrations... a bit of kwanzaa, a tad of hanakkah, a smidge of this (st. nick's day) and a sprinkle of that (elf on a shelf)... and, of course, a whole lotta christmas :-)
even though his shirt says, "bundle of joy", thanks to double ear infections, this certainly has not been the case :-(
although not a celebration, today is world aids day. many prayers were shouted out to the universe to eliminate this disease and to commemorate loved ones lost due to complications of aids. mr. chicken did his small part and sported a red sweater today. i'm sure that he also does not want anyone to feel sick and be sad.

today mr. chicken opened up the first door on the advent calendar. he seemed pretty interested in it, even though his mamas wouldn't let him eat the chocolate.

as a get well soon present, we got chicken the book, "merry christmas, stinky face." he love, Love LOVES stinky face stories, and, as we were walking around wegmans, mama c read it to him and he was totally into it.

today i also found... get this... LIGHT egg nog!!! i am stoked beyond belief!!! i think i may partake in a bit this evening :-)

finally, hopefully now that the chicken is on antibiotics (again), he will be returning to his regularly scheduled NOT waking up every 2 hours and sleep through the night. he did pretty well lastnight, and only got up at 4:30 a.m., but he was then up for good. usually he is in a jolly mood in the morning, but the past few days found him cranky. i guess we will just have to keep reminding him that santa is watching ;-)

does this mean the mamas will have a 'silent night'?
Don't forget the solstice!
