44 weeks!!!

dearest chicken,

today you are 44 weeks old!!! you just celebrated your first christmas, and oh what a jolly holiday it was! of course you were showered with gifts, but the greatest gift ever is YOU!

you are getting so brave... sometimes forgetting to hold onto things to keep yourself up. usually you stay up for a few seconds, but inevitably, wind up plopping down :-) you also walk around holding onto someone's hand (only one!!!)

you are eating everything and anything. when we go out to dinner, it is no longer an option just to feed you from our plates. you now require your own "meal." i'm getting nervous about this... if you are eating like this at 10 months, what will it be like at 10 years?!?!

today mama c and i took you "sledding" for the first time. you were all bundled up and we cruised around the front yard for a bit, then came in and feasted on mama c's homemade cheesy potato soup. you loved bit the sledding and the soup :-)

you now use the term, "mama" to refer to your mama's... when you want something. you also are quite fond of saying "uh-oh!" when you drop something. and you find it hilarious to keep dropping things to the tune of "uh-oh" over and over and over again.

you are quite proficient at shape sorters- you drop balls into the giraffe's mouth and shapes into your tool kit and fruits into your blender and balls into your choo-choo. you are such a smart little boy. and you continue to love Love LOVE being read to. you also enjoy turning the pages to your favorite stories :-)

you are darling, sweet boy.
