holiday happenings

i can't believe that we are in the throes of the holidays... i mean, WHERE IS THE SNOW?! anywho, jack frost may be slacking, but tick-tock banana rock my sweet potato pie? he's an elf on a mission! it's a brave elf who chooses to step foot into our abode and attempt to hide from our trio of elf hunters... and tick tock has done just that! every night, he finds a place to hide, in the hopes that one of the wee ones doesn't find him. but our kids are pretty crafty themselves, and pride themselves in narrowing down where the little snitch is.

i've got to admit... since there hasn't been barely nay a snowflake, i, too, have been slacking. usually by now, i have all of my christmas shopping done and wrapped, the entire house decorated (still gotta hang stockings by the chimney with care),  a fairly good chunk of baking done (today, c made fudge and seven layer bars), and my christmas cards made out and sent (we FINALLY got them done today). I WANT SNOW!!!

c also put together the nicu basket, that is chock full of lovely items from our fantabulous friends and family, who generously gave from their hearts, in celebration of our girls, in gratitude to the nicu staff, and in love and hope for the babies and families in the nicu.

this past week, or so, found us finding goodies in our shoes on st. nick day, luey having surgery to have tubes reinserted and her adenoids removed, and driving around looking at lights.

now, all that's left is to go sledding... but we will have to wait for the SNOW!!!
