yesterday, surrounded by family and friends, we celebrated the girls' 2nd birthday... the first of 3 parties scheduled this year. on tuesday, their actual birthday, we will celebrate with just us, and, next saturday, we will take a cake down to grammy's house to celebrate with her.
in lieu of gifts, we asked that, if they felt inclined, that our guests bring gifts for the nicu. we have made that our tradition... our way of giving back to those who made our girls' birthday celebrations possible.
gosh, we are so lucky to be blessed with such love...
