christmas morning began at promptly 6 a.m. when lu the pterodactyl decided that it was time to rise. after bringing her into bed with us, we somehow squeezed about 20 more minutes of semi-rest in. and then it began...
each child entered the family room, one at a time... and, instinctively, they knew to head to their stockings first. that took all of 30 seconds, before lu began to tear into her gifts. and her sister's gifts. and her brother's gifts. and her mom's gifts. when it came to opening gifts, lu did not discriminate. when we tried to halt her gift unwrapping shenanigans, there were a few meltdowns, but they were quickly resoved by redirecting her to a swig of milk or a play of a toy.
after the kids opened their gifts, we had a quick breakfast of delicious sausage roll and bananas, and then mommy and mama were going to open their gifts, but the trio wasn't having it. apparently they are now master gift unwrappers, and they wanted to put those skills to good use!
lu got a kindle fire hd! (okay, i'm not really sure if this is lu or q, but it's funnier thinking that lu monopolized all of the gifts!)
lu got a ninja!
