our little architect

today mr. chicken almost received his first "self-control" (aka time-out) for throwing a block. i calmly explained that we do not throw blocks, and the next thing i knew, he spent the next half hour building towers and gently knocking them down.

he would have played longer, but we had a date with al's melons farm market!

after loading up on berries and zucchini and corn on the cob and tomatoes, mama c took us to a playground that she remembered to be lovely... i'm sure that once upon a time it was, but when we arrived, the ride on toys were all broken and graffiti was plastered everywhere, very young moms were there with their little ones smoking up a storm, and all of the hiking trails were closed. chicken played for a few minutes, then we were on our way.

it was a lovely sunday :-)
