today, my best girlfriend, tim, and i travelled to cleveland to see 'wicked.' it was my third time (nyc, buffalo, c'land) and tim's first time. we had fantastic seats in the dress circle and the performers were magnificent- very close to the amazingness of the nyc crew.
as we were seated, many folks were snapping photos of the stage and each other and such. so, i snapped a pic of tim in his new 'wicked' track jacket, sitting in his seat, not even in the direction of the stage, 1/2 hour before the curtain went up. now mind you, i know the rules about no photographs, but literally dozens of people were taking pics, all under the watchful eyes of the ladies in the red coats. of course, i got a mini lecture, explained that i wasn't taking pics of the stage, and put my droid away. the next thing i knew, people were posing in front of the stage for their friends and family members to take pictures... yet no red coats lectured them...

during intermission, tim went to use the facilities, and, because the show started back up, he couldn't return to our fantastic seats, and was held hostage until there was a break in the action. fortunately it was just one song, and he was safe and sound back in the comfortableness of seat 314 :-)
when c and i first saw 'wicked' in nyc, i dubbed myself, 'elphaba'. today we dubbed tim, 'galinda'... after all, his favorite color is pink and he shoes and accessories to match any and all outfits! and as elphie and glinda (the ga is silent) left the theatre, i snapped a few shots... :-)
