38 weeks!!!

dearest chicken,

today you are 38 weeks old. that is 266 days that you have physically been with us... i say physically, because you have been in our hearts for always.

you are turning into a little boy right before our eyes. you are becoming so independent, but thankfully you still love having your mamas around to snuggle with.

one of your favorite things to do is to read books with your mamas. it is actually a way for us to lure you to come to us when you are about to get into something that you aren't supposed to be getting into... all we have to do is dangle the book and you come a'crawlin' with a huge smile on your face. you are so good at turning the pages and you know exactly when and how to do it. you are such a smart boy!

it is also pretty fun to take you out to eat. after church on sunday, we took you out to breakfast and we actually ordered you something instead of just feeding you from our plates. you ate your scrambled egg and put a pretty good dent in my pannycake... not to mention the 2 mum-mums that you ate as we waited for our food. you are definitely a good eater, and not picky at all (stay that way!!!).

we are having so much fun growing with you.
