mr. chicken has been going through some "stuff" as of late. it's been quite awhile since he has slept through the night... and by quite awhile, i mean virtually never. but it has gotten worse. he goes down between 7:30-8 p.m., is back up around 9:30, 11:00, 1:00, and he believes that 3 a.m. is time to wake up for good. this is not pleasant for c and i... not pleasant at all.
also, last week, he broke out in horrendous hives. at first we thought he may be allergic to amoxicillan because the first outbreak happened after he received his third dose (to treat an ear infection). we took him to the er, they administered a steroid, changed his antibiotic and he cleared up. then on tuesday, when c and i picked him up from school, he was all hivey again. it cleared up pretty much overnight, and, as i was driving to pick him up from school today, one of his teachers called to tell me that he had the hives yet again. so, mr. chicken is going to see a pediatric dermatologist... either on december 3rd, or if they can squeeze him in tomorrow (if he still has the breakout). we can't figure out what it could be from... he hasn't eaten any new foods and we made sure that his laundry was all done in the detergent that we have always used. so we shall see.
now, back to the intended post... since chicken has not been sleeping, his mommies have not been sleeping. lastnight was awful. we brought him into bed with us because we were just so sleepy, and he tossed and turned and sang and cuddled and pulled hair and kicked... all. night. long. i took the 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. shift of petting his bald little head and rubbing his tummy and patting his bottom. around 4:30 a.m., c and i tag-teamed him, until she surrendered and took him downstairs around 5:30-ish. when i came downstairs at 6:50, i saw chicken and mama c feasting on waffles and bananas (chicken) and french toast (mama c). he was a pretty happy little kid.
i see FOOD!!!
don't mind if i do...
this is pretty tasty... and i'm feeding myself, all by myself!!!
my mamas need to teach me some manners!
