20 months.

wow. time certainly has a way of escaping me these fine days! it just dawned on me that our sweet girlies are 20 months old! as in they will be 2 YEARS old in 4 months!!! how did this happen? where have i been?!?

to say that lyncoln and quinn have found their personalities would be an understatement!

my sweet louisville kentucky,

you are such a funny kid. like a for real funny kid! your belly laugh is the greatest sound in all the land! you are smart as a whip and so very strong! you like to figure things out, and you are quite good at figuring out how to do things that you aren't supposed to do. there is nothing that you can't climb, and locks and buckles are no match for you!

you are also stubborn. and do you ever have a temper! BUT, you have learned that, before you engage in one of your all out tantrums, instead of throwing your little body down, you very carefully lower your head down onto the floor, and then commence the kicking and screaming. i really appreciate this, because i don't want you to get hurt while you are in the middle of losing your ever-lovin' mind!

you love to sing 'twinkle, twinkle little star' and 'the itsy-bitsy spider.' you adore the 'take me out the the ballgame' book. and you are no joke when it comes to fetching and putting away everyone's shoes. you are learning to use a spoon and a fork, and you are still learning that patience is a virtue.

you are the adventurous sister, but when you are unsure about something, gosh i love how you cling to us. you give the sweetest good morning kisses and the best nigh-nigh hugs.

my darling quinnie j,

i don't think that there has ever been a sweeter kid than you. you go through your days singing and exploring and gathering. your smile lights up the darkest of days, and you know that when you want something, you just have to bat those doe eyes of yours and whimper, "peas?"

gosh, you have me by the heartstrings, love girl. you are such a good 'helper' and you are doing a great job learning how to help mama load and unload the dishwasher. you also like to help put groceries away and sometimes clean up ;)

if you would look up the word 'snuggler' in the dictionary, the definition would simply be your sweet picture. you are a dynamo when it comes to snuggling, and mommy and i eat it all up. we just can't seem to get enough of you, quinnie!

these days, you love reading books and playing with your baby. you are such a gentle spirit, and oh how i love that about you.

both girls have transitioned into their new room at daycare, and, although we will miss their teachers, we know that our big girls are ready for new horizons!

speaking of movin' on up, mr. tup is also set to move. TO PRE-K!!! sigh. our baby birds are growing up soooo quickly!
