ONE... times 2!!!

ONE! our. girls. are. one. year. old!!!

they have beat the odds. they have conquered challenges that i, in 28 years (with 10 years experience), cannot even begin to fathom.

they are my heroes. they are my heart.

my dearest lyncoln,

at 9:48 a.m., one year ago today, you entered into this big, beautiful world. from the very beginning- even before you were born, we knew that you were a feisty little gal. you have an amazing zest for life and you are very quick to smile... and to give your patented, "are you for real?" look.



the other day, you weighed in at 17 lbs 13 oz... a far cry from your birth weight of 1 lb 7 oz. you are wearing size 3 diapers, 9-12 month shirts and 9-18 month pants. you hate baby food, but you are pretty much loving "real" food. you have 5.5 teeth and you aren't afraid to use them!

you are a master creeper- i think that you will be walking very soon, and then we had better all watch out ;-) you are extremely curious and you aren't timid about exploring your surroundings. i love this about you.

this past year has been amazing because of you, lync. you have taught me about miracles... you ARE a miracle. every single day with you fills my heart with the most beautiful and pure joy imaginable. you are stronger than i could ever imagine to be.

one year ago today, at 9:49 a.m., you entered our lives with the sweetest and tiniest of cries. i believe that that was your way of telling mommy and i that you were okay and that you were always going to be okay. thank you, sweet girl.


your birth weight was 1 lb 15 oz, and the other day you weighed in at 19 lbs 3 oz. you have 5 teeth, that shine the most beautiful smile imaginable! i. am. so. proud. of you.

i am so proud of the battle that you fought and won. i am so proud that you chose us to be your mommies. i am so proud of your strength and perseverance and determination. you, my love, are a wonderment.
