our morning started at 1 a.m.. by "our", i mean the girls and me. allow me to backtrack...
c and rhys are in north carolina for a few days... which leaves me flying solo with the girlios. the girlios who are teething. and are snotty (actual nose snot, not attitude-y snot. well, quinn may fall under both categories. but i digress...)
so anyway, yesterday quinn was a champion eater and a champion whiner. for real. h o u r s of whine, and no cheese for me to even make it palatable. lync, on the other hand, had a low grade fever and wasn't particularly interested in eating. she would take mouthfuls of formula, then spit it out. and she was cranky. i think, however, the crank came from being gassy and teething, and when she napped, her crankiness went away. until she woke up again, of course.
anywho, we all got to bed around midnightish. i knew that the snotty twins were, well, snotty, which makes for uncomfortable sleeping, but i was hoping to get at least a few good hours in. they gave me an hour. one. hour. and not even that- by that time i fell asleep, i got maybe 30 minutes of sleep before the sister symphony decided to commence. at first i thought it was lync, because she had been having trouble getting comfortable, but it turned out to be quinn. i cuddled her for a few minutes, lied her down and crossed my fingers that she would stay asleep. she did, and i hopped into my delicious bed (which i miss so). not even 5 minutes later, lync decided to add the harmony to quinn's melody. she was not as easily comforted, so i let her lie in bed with me... which led to me just watching her for hours and not sleeping.
around 3 a.m., quinn wanted to put on a performance again, so, i alternated between cuddling the two until 6:30 a.m., when we just came downstairs. they began happily playing while i got lync's medicine and their bottles ready. i decided to change and feed quinn first because she is usually faster... she had a funk about her, so i knew what i was in for... and was i ever in for it! after she was fresh, she ate really well, and then proceeded to throw up her entire feed. on me. gross. so, i changed her, changed me, changed lync, fed lync, then fed quinnie some more.
now the girls are (mostly) happily playing on the floor and i am reminding lynci not to hurt her sister.
is it naptime yet?
ugh! those days are tough! hope the rest of the week went better for you. love the pic of all three kids in the header - adorable!
