oh what a weekend!

we had such a jam-packed, fun-filled weekend that i am still recuperating from it!

on saturday morning, after feeding and packing up the troops, we loaded everyone into the van and ventured off to port farms. the whole way there, my fingers were crossed that the weather would hold up and we wouldn't be rained out... the weather was perfect. okay, it could have been a bit more crisp, but it didn't rain!

after talking up the tunnels and slides and corn pit and tractor ride, our kid decided that he enjoyed the log house. i was so disgruntled over this that i failed to get a picture. he seemed to enjoy the bunnies and the hay piles alright, but surprisingly he wasn't into the slides this year :-( all three kids really enjoyed the tractor ride and the pumpkin patch, though... especially quinnie. lync, on the other hand, was fascinated by her shoes :-)none of the kids were particularly thrilled with the corn pit, but, as c came to a halt down the slide, both girls had huge smiles on their sweet faces :-)

after spending a few hours playing on the farm, we picked out a pumpkin for each kiddo, and went home to lunch and nap. after everyone woke up, we decided to go to wine fest, because c's favorite cookie vendor is at all of the local festivals, and she really wanted a chocolate chip cookie! soooo, we once again loaded up the litter and made our journey to north east. after spending f.o.r.e.v.e.r just trying to get in, we were disappointed to find out that carmen's cookies wasn't. even. there! epic fail! so, c bought a bottle of wine, and we made our way home. with quinn screaming the entire way!

on sunday, we got to play with our nicu friends at the st. v's nicu picnic. it was so wonderful visiting with our girls! we also got to meet some new friends :-) i am so proud of the magnificent strides that lync and quinn have made, and, even though they had scary beginnings, our nicu angels made every single day that we have with them possible.

we rounded out a perfect weekend by celebrating a perfect love. our dear friends, j & k ran away to new york to get legally married :-) i think that perhaps their love story is one of the greatest ever told... <3 congratulations, sweethearts :-)
