chicken seemed excited at first, but it was probably because he thought that the soil was brownies or mini-cuppycakes. he was not amused when he found out that there wasn't going to be a party in his tummy. the child does. not. like. to. get. dirty.
chicken was interested in the seeds. for a hot second. then he was off and running again.
so, mama c and i got to work and planted tomatoes, beans, chives, green onions, basil, sweet peppers, cucumbers, summer squash and zucchini. we will be adding strawberries and pummy-ummy-umpkins to the mix this week :-) we also planted chicken's curious george space plant for him :-)
we are looking forward to a week long celebration of our mother earth... and, we shall be continuing our pledge to reduce, reuse and recycle :-)
