SIX!

six years ago, our dream came true. at 9:48 a.m., and 9:49 a.m., lyncoln and quinn made their early, grand appearance. c and I were so very scared for them, but so much in love with them. we needed them to fight and to be brave... and they haven't failed us yet. in their mere six years, our girls have overcome such tremendous odds, that I can't help but to be in awe of them.

lyncoln, 1 lb 7 oz, 12"

quinn, 1 lb 15 oz, 13"

lyncoln has always been the feisty one. to this day, she relishes in knocking her sibling's teeth out, singing at the top of her lungs with her adorably raspy voice, and pushing her curiosity to unlawful limits. the kid drives us crazy, but we love her like crazy.

quinn continues to be our dramatic, subdued gal. yes, it sounds like an oxymoron, but to know quinn is to understand this. her love of anything furry is utterly heartmelting... and her kind heart is enough to make you believe in absolute goodness. don't get me wrong... girlfriend can lose her stuff with the best of them, and when she does, she puts faye dunaway to shame!

when we tucked them in last night, for the last time as five year olds, our hearts simultaneously winced and burst with joy. our girls have overcome insurmountable odds. with the love and prayers and well wishes from friends, family, and total strangers, our little 1 lb 7 oz and 1  lb 15 oz miracle beebees have grown into 44 and 47 lb smart and strong six year olds.

happy 6th birthday, lyncoln!  happy 6th birthday, quinn! thank you for being that which is good in the world.
