c took rhys to his soccer game a little later on, while I prepped halloween dinner. when they got home, we feasted on soup and chili, and then got ready to go tricks or treating...
our theme? the wizard of oz! we had a munchkin, dorothy, the wicked witch, the cowardly lion, the psychedelic tin woman, and the yellow brick road! we were smart this year. we went with our provisions, and, every time a child would whine, we would take a sip of wine. genius, we are!
at every house, lyncoln would exclaim that she was dorothy, and that the lion was her "brudder", and "that! that over there? that's my road!" rhys was sort of a buzzkill- he was done with the whole thing after one block... but no worries! lync hustled for her lion- "my brudder is down there! he's the lion and he's tired. can i have more candy for him?" the thing is- she never planned on giving him any of the candy that she got "for him." they made out pretty well!
... and quinn immediately got ready for the upcoming holiday season!

Laugh out loud at Quinn ending Halloween by promptly leaping into the holiday season! Hysterical! Dang it, every time I come to your blog, I crave whatever food you post. Mmmmmm, chili (and cornbread?!) Swig of wine for whiny kids? Brilliant!
