today I decided to brave a new-to-me farmer's market. alone. normally i don't mind shopping all by my lonesome, but this market was in an area that i'm not familiar with, so, i was a bit hesitant. i don't know what i was so concerned about, delilah got me there without a hitch. she's a great car!
any who, on the way to the market, my foot started itching. whenever my feet or hands itch, i think that either: a) i have a fungus, or, b) one of the old adages i grew up listening to... the itchy foot being that i was about to walk in strange territory. now, this could mean that i was about to embark on a new farmer's market, but, on this eve of my 35th with 5 years experience birthday, somehow my mind went deeper than that... i started thinking about where i have been and where i want to be. yes, yes, i know, we should always be content with exactly where we are, and i am, i truly am, but there is a nagging... a yearning to get back to me... i mean, not that i was ever lost, and my navigation system was keeping me on the right path to the market, but something... different...
then i started thinking about my new license plate that had just come in... JRNY2OM, and, it clicked! i yearn to be aligned with my mind, body and spirit. somehow, i had become disconnected from someTHING... and i missed it, whatever it is/was/shall be. and i'm finding IT again in the craziest of places... at farmer's markets, in raw honey, in the woods, in laughter and in unconditional love. it's there. it has always been there. but i had started to forget about it... until the universe kicked me in the rear with the alignment of my license plate and raw honey search and drive to an unfamiliar farmer's market.
where am i going with all of this? i don't EXACTLY know, but i'm gonna enjoy the journey...
