anniversary happenings

yesterday, c and i celebrated 5 years of wedded bliss. we began the day by planning on a search for pumpkins to carve. this led us to shop for treats for trick or treaters, the fixin's for the kids' classroom treats, a blow up halloween decoration for the yard and last minute mommy and mama costume pieces.

when we finally got to pumpkintown, c was bound and determined to get a HUGE pumpkin to force our darlings into it's shell for a photo op. we found some contenders, and home we finally went.

after playing with the pumpkin innards with our darlings, bathing and dinnering them up, and finally tucking them into bed, the time had come. we ordered takeout from a new/old place that i have been wanting to try, and, throughout the entire meal, c kept muttering, "this is the best thig i've ever tasted." it was true. the roasted red pepper gnocchi was well worth the wait! after dinner, we got to work being the busy little jack o'lantern elves that we are, and created masterpieces that would make our wee ones ooh and ahh when they got up in the morning. we also roasted some yummy pummy-ummy-umpkin seeds! it was a perfect anniversary!
