march for babies

today we walked... in celebration of our girls who were born 15 weeks early and survived...

today we walked... in honor of all babies born too soon or born sick...

today we walked... in remembrance of sweet wee ones gone too soon...

today was our local march of dimes march for babies. there are so many people that we are indebted to for helping our girls, that we needed to find a way to give back. the outpouring of love and support was overwhelming. every single day i am humbled by the generosity and unconditional love of others.

thank you. to all of our friends and families and strangers, thank you. for holding our girls up in love and light... always.

last year we were unable to walk in the march for babies. last year we were in pittsburgh children's hoping for a miracle for lyncoln. and we got it... we fought for it, but we got it. today, she is a thriving, curious, mischievous little lady.

today, both of our girls are doing remarkably well. we are blessed. and not a single moment goes by that we don't realize how fortunate we are. not. a. single. moment.

the girls were troopers during the walk. lync slept most of the way, while quinnie sang her sweet, sweet tunes before finally drifting off. at the 3-mile mark, lync woke up. she was hungry, and a hungry lynci is not a pretty sight. that, paired with blisters (sorry, meghan!) is an even more unpleasant sight... so, we hopped on a bus and went back to rainbow gardens.

the girls split a hot dog, we gave mommy some kisses, and then we ventured home.

thank you never seems to be enough... but we will continue to be grateful and to give back any way we can...
