hoppy easter!

our easter morning started out around 6:30-ish a.m. with a little rhyster bunny crawling into bed with us announcing that it was time to get up. since the girls were still asleep, and i wanted to stay asleep for a bit longer, we tried the whole, "it's still night time" tactic. of course it didn't work, so we let the boy watch about 15 minutes of tv in our bed before we all got up and ventured downstairs to see what the easter bunny had left us.

rhys immediately spotted a few eggs and was beside himself excited... and then, quinnie got the hang of it, and she was an egg-hunting fool! lync could have cared less, because the egg-gathering basket was apparently delicious.







after all (most) of the eggs were found, it was time to search for baskets... rhys let out the most genuine "ooohhhh!!!" i have ever heard!





the rest of the easter haul was discovered, and all was right with the world... until we tried to get a group photo...












after brunch, c and i couldn't help but to reminisce about last easter... you, know, the day that lync kept turning as blue as an easter egg and was readmitted to the nicu, and eventually sent to children's in pittsburgh?









we have certainly come a long way... but i think that l & q are gonna be pretty ticked off next year when we stuff 'em into their baskets!
