what a lovely weekend we had! okay, well, more like what a lovely sunday we had :-) our church topic was stonewall: standing on the side of love. the entire congregation celebrated the fact that love is love... just beautiful!

after the wacky shack, mama c took him on the big rig. he was still kind of sleepy, so we thought that maybe playing a game would wake him up. he loved the fishing game! and after a good ten minutes, a fish was finally caught! his prize? a fish, of course!

we then walked around a bit, then played the whack-a-mole game. mama c took no mercy on the poor inexperienced chicken. final score: mama c- 100, chicken- 60. but she did let him pick out her prize- a brown dog-dog!

after church, we came home, had some lunch, c napped and then we headed to waldameer. actually, before waldameer, we went to get a new memory card for our point-and-shoot. it seems as though it's not a good idea to leave a camera in one's car for months on end in extreme weather... the camera wasn't reading the memory card, and we had hoped that a new card would be all that it needed. fail. we are now researching new point-and-shoots.
anywho, onto waldameer... chicken nippy-napped in the car, so we kind of had to wake him up once we got to the park. c lotioned him up, and off we went to purchase our wally card and peruse the rides and games that would be chicken-friendly. first up was the gondola, but we weren't sure if chicken would be permitted on, so off to the obvious next choice: the wacky shack! as chicken and i waited in line, c asked if he was crying. i noticed that he was tearing up alot- allergies? sunscreen? probably a mix of the two... and the poor little guy had a case of the red eyes and tears the entire time. he was quite a trooper in the wacky shack. he kind of just put his little head on my lap and chilled out the whole time.

finally, we wandered over to the train. this was when chicken finally came alive- laughing and dancing. we rode the train and then came home for dinner.
