today you are 48 weeks old!!! i don't even know where to begin to describe this past week...
there are babies who are almost *one* who are babbling words such as 'mama, baba, dada, nana, doggie'... but you? you, sweet chicken, are proud as punch to be shouting 'yo gabba gabba' and 'geronimo'!!! you are a funny bird, little chicken :-)
you are also getting so very brave when it comes to walking. yesterday we cheered you on as you walked four steps unassisted. today you took FIFTEEN steps all by your sweet little chicken lonesome :-)
when it comes to sleeping, you leave a lot to be desired. you. don't. sleep. yes, you follow your bedtime routine, and you actually go down effortlessly between 7:30 and 8 p.m. and like clockwork, you are back up, screaming at the top of your lungs, at 10:30. the only way to settle you down is to bring you into bed with us, where you proceed to flip and flop and do cartwheels and sing and dance and do anything but sleep. all. night. long.
your new favorite food is grilled cheese sammiches. you devour them!!! and it seems as though your favorite veggie has turned from peas to carrots. thankfully, you love all vegetables. actually, you love anything that we put in front of you :-) incidentally, you now have another tooth or two (7/8... one is all the way through, another just about there).
